Bun Variations

New hair forks by Blondiesturn. These are extra small so I can wear them in a low bun without getting caught in turtlenecks or shawls. The woods are Wenge and Bloodwood. The Blooodwod has an amazing irridescent colour that ranges from burgundy to golden orange, depending on the angle you view it under.
A pair of MeiFa hair sticks ("Jane" design with silver beads). They're rather short (4 1/2" plus beads) which makes them perfect for small buns or half up styles on thicker hair.

A cameo bun with my real hair in a plain cinnamon bun held with hair pins, and a self made braided hair piece pinned around it. I got the fake hair from a place that makes monofibre extensions - those guys are great with mixing any existing shade from standard coloured strands.
I ordered some hair sticks (and other fabulous accessories) from FranceLuxe. The colour I chose is called "Mojave". I can't rave enough about the quality of their products - their customer service is excellent, too.
I like the "Geisha chopstick" look with two plain, thin hair sticks, and the sturdy plastic material is great for damp buns.

I recently found some of the most adorable tinted wooden hair toys on a local fair. I love to dress up my tiny buns with those.
This is another one of my favourite everyday styles - a plain bun with my Ebony two prong hair fork by Blondiesturn. An extra quick updo that never fails.
